Post subject:  Launching in Melbourne

Will, I prefer to launch at Ballard Park in Melbourne. I usually go out on a weekday and its not very crowded. There are two docks and I pull my boat up on the shore and finish rigging up. The launch area is protected from the usual easterly winds. It may take a little maneuvering to get out to the intracoastal, but , it can be done. Let me know if you have questions.

US1 in grant has two ramps from which to launch. just over the sebastian river bridge at the brevard and indian river county border turn left onto indian river drive. there is a ramp there just under a mile away from captain hiram's sandbar and restaurant you can beach your boat right at the bar for lunch.

Sebastian Inlet. South side of the inlet, on the west point north side. Its very cat friendly beach launch. There used to be a Catamaran sailing club that met on the 1st Saturday of each month.
