This is stretching a request but I'll be in Waikoloa, Hawaii and Waikiki Beach, Honolulu.

Don't know if the Hiltons offer any Hobie rentals, does anyone know of any other possible rental sites ?

thanx,
bill

Bill - Sorry for not responding sooner. I thought others might respond and then I forgot about it. I hope it's not too late.
I've been to both Hiltons - Waikoloa &Waikiki. We didn't see Hobie rentals at either place.
Waikiki has plenty of nice beaches, but also a shallow reef near the Hilton. It would be very difficult to navigate your way past the reef, even for an experienced local. Also, the winds are usually very light near the shore; stonger further out. The beaches are very crowded. Not a very good place for beachcats. Great parks for an early morning run - Kapiolani and Ala Moana.
Waikoloa - the only nice beach is the lagoon on the Hotel grounds. Very rocky shore. Great snorkeling south of Kona. Rent a car and go to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

He's with the KokoKahi Sailing Club, (Kaneohe Bay) where folks would kill to hook up for a ride.

Check them out here:

Super cool people there at the Kokokahi sailing club, didn't get to go sailing with any of them when I was out there, but got to hang out and chat and get jealous of their beach... Dan is a great guy.
