I will be at Bridgman Mi. Sept 5th, 6th,7th & 8th for a little sailing adventure on Lake Michigan. I will be sailing on a Hobie 18 with wings.

There will be a group coming over from the Chicago area too.

Last year I hosted a get together at Lake Monroe in southern Indiana and had a good turn out.

If anyone is interested in joining in, let me know. :D

Bummer - I'll be over in Tawas that weekend. Sounds like a great time. Have fun. Lake Michigan is one of my favorites. Do send a report back on the ins and outs of beach access, etc. over there.

Jay,

We will be camping and launching from Weko Beach. Your are welcome to join us.

Reservations are not accepted at the camp grounds except the small cabins as it is first come first severed.

We should arrive before noon on Thursday and get setup.

The forecast looks promising.....with winds around 8mph, high temperature about 80 and lows in the 50's and a 10% chance of rain.
Hopefully the winds will be better off shore...

I will be bring my summer wet suit and a spray top as I an not sure what the water temperature will be like.... :?

Bill, any idea how many can camp on a site ? I imagine there should be no problem getting sites on a thursday after labor day. I will be there thursday with the H 18 , my daughter and her boyfriend for crew on thursday, may not have any one for friday but then my son and nephue will be there friday night to camp and then sail with us sat and sunday . just got home from paddling at Indiana Dunes, water was warm but we will all have cold water gear with us along with Good PFDs. I have sailed quit a bit but not on big water like this and have only trailerd the boat a few times so hope you can give us a few pointers along the way.

see you thursday

Thanks Bill for posting the Weko beach lake Mi trip, I had a blast. Four days of sailing , three with some good wind and having the best wind and waves on Sunday the last day was like Iceing on the cake. Thanks to every one who helped with the boats, would have been hard to put mine on the trailer with the surf pounding in on the beach the last day. It was great to meet so many hobie sailors, hope we get the chance to do this again. Now if I can figure out how to post a picture or two I will ad them.........Jay
