Headed up to Tahoe with the H16 this summer. Any suggestions for a good launch spot? Prefer the West shore if possible. THanks.

I've found this to be a fairly comprehensive list. There are lots of private ramps, but a few public places to launch. I've not used any of the west shore ramps. I've been to Cave Rock and Sand Harbor. Both are nice.

dexter - You should also look into camping and launching your H16 at Nevada Beach campground. It's not too far from the CA/NEVADA Stateline. You can easily walk there to gamble or get something to eat. I was there with a friend about 20 years ago. No launching area, but we got two other guys to help us carry my H16 to the beach. It wasn't very far and it was easy to do. Very nice sandy beach. easy to set the boat up and launch. We were allowed to leave the boat on the beach over night and sleep on the tramp. About 20 years ago......I don't know if the rules have changed, but I think it's worth looking in to.
