My family and I just got back from the Southern tip of AL, and I want to tell you, it was awesome. We were there for 7 days, and it was really too windy to sail all but 2 days. We rented a house and launched off the beach right near the house and sailed all over the place. A swarm of dolphins (maybe a gaggle?) came over and ran with us for a while, and in the air, there was an entire school of Pelicans diving right around us, I assume, scooping up the smaller fish the dolphins where hunting as well. VERY fun and neat place, and great to sail too. |
