Post subject:  FL. cocoa beach
does anyone have a hobiecat in cocoa beach ill be there for a week starting sunday morning and cant really bring mine becasue theres not really a place easy enough to put it in and take it out and i have to drive to georgia the day before

so is anyone willing to take a crew member for some rides next week? :D



update:.. i have decided to bring my 16 to cocoa beach and will be putting it in at the boat ramp that goes into the intercoastal area were i dont have to worry about dying in the open ocean

Better late than never....relatively new to the site. Kelly Park on Merritt Island is a good place to launch. Good sailing on the Banana River. Ski Island just north of the SR-528 Causeway, is a party place(I can't get under the bridge at 33' clearance). There is another cool island about 10 miles south. Another good place to put in is on the north side of the SR-406 Causeway on the Indian River heading out towards Playalinda Beach out at the Space Center; a great place to view a shuttle launch.. Down in central Brevard, there is a park just north of the Pineda Causeway on US 1 with a sand ramp for catamarans. Be sure to say hi to Scott at Performance Sails next door.
