Post subject:  faded gel coat

I was watching Ship Shape TV today they had a product called Poli Glow (i think) The product came in a kit and cost about $100.00 My hulls are dark blue and I wondered if anyone had tried this product. The show usually has some really good tips. I have tried sandpaper and rubbing compound every wax and polish in the Boaters World Store The boat looks faded at the end of the season. The demo was fast and easy and the results were great. It even made white hulls look new

Use 3m Perfectit III heavy cut. Then wax.

Good Luck!

I used PoliGlow last summer on my 83 yellow Tequila Sunrise 16. Phenomenal results. I am pulling off the cover this weekend so we will see how it handled the winter, from the website it appears I need to apply a couple of coats of PG to bring back maximum shine.

Steps we took:

1. Powerwash boat.
2. Use Poli cleaner per directions.
3. Apply 5 coats Poliglow.

It looked like new after the PG dried and held up for the summer. I was impressed.

Gary, I'd be interested to hear your comparison test results.
