I have some wear and tear damage on the bottom of my hulls and I was wondering if there is a way for me to repair this myself. I took some pictures so you can see what I'd be dealing with.

The pictures didn't post.

If it's simply bottom wear from dragging the boat across the beach, then yes, it is easily repairable by anyone with basic hand skills, the right tools and supplies and a little patience.

Yea I see that they didn't I don't know why, as for repairing them does anyone know of a good tutorial either on these forums or elsewhere on the internet that describes the supplies needed and the process?

Sure, start at page 12 of: http://www.w1dm.com/projects/HOTLINE/08-09-10%20HOTLINE.pdf

Can't tell you if it works, going to try it next week, but the author seems to know what he's talking about.

Not sure if Surf City Catamaran has Youtube videos about it, but he does on a lot of the Hobie repairs.

Frat_sailor, I can answer part of your image problem. What you put in your post was a link to the ImageShack page storing your photo. What you need to do is, right-click the photo on ImageShack, click Properties, and you'll get the address/ URL of the actual image. This is what you need to paste into the [IMG] part of your post.

However, when I tried it, I found that your original image is huge, spilling off the screen. It would be better, for the forum, to get a medium-size version. I use Flickr for photo hosting, and Flickr offers you a choice of sizes. I don't know if ImageShack does this.

Looks good, I'll probably tackle it in the next couple weekends as well, as for the images i dont know if imageshack has that option but for posting images in the future I'll use flickr.

Easy to fix. Classic bottom job.

Grind off the loose stuff, build up with strips of glass / resin. Sand to shape and gel coat if you want it to look pretty.
