I have a hulls that have soft spots on them. I plan to do the drill and inject method + some other tricks to strengthen my top side, but I cant find any info on how to fix the sides. I have a soft spot right above the trailer wheel, and I want to know what is done to fix it.
Do I do the same injection like the top?
Do I cup pieces away and re-fiberglass?
any help would be appreciated.

you use the same method as you would on the tops. I would recomennd you take the hull off the frame and lay it on its side. It will make life easier.
