Hey guys, I picked up a Hobie 14 about a month ago, now I'm doing some basic repairs. I notice my old connectors that connect the cross bar to the tiller arms were toast. I ordered a new set (Tiller Connector Kit) and am confused where the spring goes! does it go in the middle or on the bottom! Any input would help. Thanks, Neil |

To prevent scratching of the hull decks, the spring (and nut) should go on the top (like the one on the left): |

The real test is to lift the tip of the rudder up as far as it will go and see how close the bolt gets to the deck. |
