Does anyone have any advise on how to repair this.

The last rivit and the screw are pulling out of the front cross bar. Its the end closest to the mast.

Drill out the rivet, and screw out the screw. Then get rivets a size or two bigger, and rivet them in. Id get a few sizes and try each one and use the one that fits best.

Same thing for the screw, just size up. I had the same problem on my 18 jib car track, but my track is attached to fiberglass not alum. The solution should be the same thou.

You must of been sailing that 16 in a blow!

The Screw size has been increased once already.
The rivit stock is 3/16ths. Not sure where I can find 1/4 or 5/16th stainless rivit without having to buy 50 of them.

This boat has been to a number of rodeos and is currently being campaigned by my daughter as a 16B youth boat.

I'll be visiting with the Surf City Catamaran people today. I'll post if they have a good solution.

You can't upsize the rivet because they're countersunk and the traveler car will catch on the larger head.

The ideal way to fix it would be to put a backing washer on the underside of the rivet. But since that would involve removing the corner casting or dolphin striker to access the inside of the crossbar, that may be more work that you're willing to put into it.

You could use one of the pin-stop holes to put in a new rivet in, but you've got the same "car catching on the head" problem.

Would flipping the track end-for-end change the position of the rivet holes?
