I have a 1984 Hobie Cat 18 footer and the aluminum part that holds the port rudder up is broken so I assume I need to locate a replacement. My photos that I will post later will show the broken one and the good one on the starboard side.
Also I am looking for a source on a new trampoline that is traditional style either blue or white. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

If you can afford it, OEM tramps from Hobie are generally considered the highest quality, but they're expensive. If you want to race in the Hobie regattas, you're required to have a Hobie brand trampoline. Looks like Hobie has white vinyl and black or turquoise mesh available these days.

If you don't want to spend the money on an OEM one and don't plan on racing your boat, there are a bunch of companies that make aftermarket ones (both vinyl and mesh) in a bunch of colors. I have an aftermarket tramp from SLO Sails that I've been VERY happy with:

I have some of the old style H18 rudder castings for sale. I also have a solid blue vinyl tramp for an 18.

Here is a link to the gear. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.
