Spent most of the weekend re-assembling, cleaning, and looking for all those bits and pieces that we packed away last winter. On, and helping a newby rig a 1977 H16. Sunday, after lunch, I got round to 'the list', which included replacing the Shroud Anchor pins. Looks like they were at least 10 years old.

Port side came off with a bit of a battle, and on inspection, it was good that I had made the decision to replace - it was mildly bent. Who needs a fracture in the middle of a good sail.

Starboard side proved to be difficult, then it 'froze', and I could not undo it any further. My thinking is that this anchor, too, is bent, which is why I cannot unbolt it.

My only option now is to use a Dremel tool to cut off the head?

Any other suggestions please.... I'd like to go racing on Weds....

If you can get it to tighten, maybe cut off the head of the anchor bolt and then screw it out from the bottom. Otherwise, for $25, its probably less of a headach to replace the whole anchor bar.
