The fiberglass around the rear pylon that recieves the tramp frame has a couple of cracks in it. The frame and pylon are still stiff and rigid. My concern is that it might lead to future problems. Is there a way to fix the cracks to maintain the structural integrity of the deck where it meets the pylon? If so, how do you fix it?

thanks,

Mike

Sometimes the gelcoat cracks around the "hump" that surrounds the posts. I have never seen one fail though. How about a picture?

mmiller, I took a couple of photos of the damaged area. One of them shows a hole about the diameter of a pencil. The other shows a crack that is a couple milimeters deep. I don't see any fiberglass fibers in the crack, it appears that it could just be gel coat. Where shall I send the photos?

thanks for offering to take a closer look.

Mike
