It depends on what type of block set up you have. http://www.hobiecat.com/support/pdfs/36_37.pdf this is a link on how to run a 6:1. Brad, Thanks for the reply. I have a mixture of stuff. I bought the boat used and got a Harken triple block with cleat. In addition, I bought a stock factory set up which was sent to me as a Seaway triple upper block connected to a single block with anti reverse and cleat. Reading the material you referenced, would it be advisable to take the Seaway triple upper block (2 1/2 inch) and combine it with the Harken (3 inch) w/anti reverse and cleat to create a 7:1 set up? Am I following this correctly to tie off to an empty boom bail? Mike |
