I have an old Hobie Furler from an 82' H18; I just bought the boat used. The furler wasn't working so I bought and installed the rebuild kit. Now I can't get any spring tension (not sure if it had it before). Everything just spins. How do you tension the furler? Thank you for any help.

Hobie 18 furler has no spring tension. The jib sheet pulls the sail out and the furler line rolls it in. The jib is all out or all in. You can't sail the jib partially furled.
