So yesterday I fixed a small soft spot on my 81 Hobie 16. I did it just as Matt Miller suggested in the FAQ section, with the small breather holes, and the larger injection hole. It went off with out a hitch, a few hours later it was solid as a rock again.

My question is with the gel coat. How do I repair the holes I drilled in the deck of my boat. What is working with gel coat like? If anyone can give me a few tips before I do this the hard way it will be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Adam

I had the same question after I did my delam repair. Here is the thread.

Jeremy, as well as everyone else, was very helpful in answering this question. It was really pretty easy. Just drill a dimple in the holes from the delam repair, fill with polyester resin, sand, clean, and gel. Hope this helps some.
