Post subject:  Tramp retensioning

Just sailed the Getaway for the first time yesterday. Noticed the tramps both stretched quite a bit. Is this normal?? I guess it would be. All I should have to do is to retension them, right? Any other advice.

They do that once you get some weight on them. Just like you said, retension them and you will be fine. The line used to lace them will streach for a while. Eventually it will stop. Since my crew and I are on the heavier side (~400lbs) and I am lazy, I splurged and bought the non-streach line so I would only have to do it once per season.

Be sure to tension to the aft first. This helps the front end stay seated in the crossbar without inching in torwards the center.
