OK so, "Miller" is about a common name as "Brown" or "Jones" (but not Smith ) so I know that this is a dumb question:

I was just packing up some books and ran across my 1971 first edition of multi-hull racing by Fred Miller and Phil Berman (AND my 1976 third edition) and wondered if Matt = progeny of Fred

As I said, dumb question. Just wondered.. Have a Hobie day dude 8)

Nope... different Miller. My dad was into power boats / yachts. I learned to sail on a dinghey, sabot and a sunfish.

They call me Cecil B. Demiller sometimes, but that is beacause I make promo videos and DVDs around here. Not quite Warren Miller either, but (segue here) check out my latest little movie:

Great video - with the Hawaiian kind of score to it. Man, that looks like fun. I love the last "crashing into the wave" shot - Wee Haa

I guess my next dumb question would have been "are you related to the fabulous Warren Miller". :) so thanks for clearing that up. Looks like you have a job I would love!!

My segue (sp?) By the way I have noticed that a lot of the high-speed and crash-related multi-hull videos are accompanied by heavy-metal scores. Do we have a lot of hard-rock fans? Let's see: high speed, possible injury etc. Anyway, rock fans and metal heads looking for the new and unusual might like to see this site. My buddy, Rich, has a full fledged video production shop UVTV. Only available locally on public access channel and on line 8) http://www.uvtv.info/mainframe.html

Have fun and thanks for the reply Matt! -

You should do a video with two guys out on an H16 with paddles and no mast doing the surfing thing. That'd be cool. :D
