Bill,

Getaways and 16s are not compatible except for generic fasteners and hardware. Tramps, sails etc are very different.

Should be:

Kitty Hawk Watersports
6920 S. Croatan Hwy.
Nags Head, NC 27959
Phone: 1-252-441-2756
info@kittyhawkwatersports.com

Or try Backyard Boats in VA. They are strong year round.

BACKYARD BOATS
2380 RESEARCH COURT
WOODBRIDGE, VA 22192
1-703-491-3188
sales@backyardboats.com

Hi Bill,

I went through this in Aug 2008. After extensive contacts, including Jon Van Lunen at Kitty Hawk Water Sports, Jeremy Leonard at Surf City Catamarans and Jay Smirnow at Back Yard Boats, I found only the currently used decals are available from Hobie. They contract for a run of a quantity of the decals to be used on the boats. After they're gone, there's no more available. (unless Hobie has decided to introduce the older decals. I also checked with several online sign shops but none wanted to reproduce the original graphics. I suspect it would have to do with possible copyright infringement issues.

My 2004 had a problem with the decals starting to curl. (refer to the thread dated Aug 25, 2008) You can have the existing decals reproduced locally by a local shop, but beware of using the Hobie Cat logo as it's copyrighted. To reproduce for personal use, you would have to get Hobie's permission. Probably wouldn't be an issue for set for your personal use, but definitely not for resale.
