Hello, I just wanted to know a little more about getaway Hull numbers, like if there are numbers that never change for the Getaway (or number which mean it is a getaway hull number as opposed to a H-16), and if some numbers have meanings (like manufacturing year or other info) For example my hull number is: CCMN3591J809 thanks Guillermo |

Why does the etching always look sloppy? When I crossed the border from the US into Canada the officer said it looked like his 5 yr. old did it. They should use hot metal numbers that just get molded into the transom. |

Ok thanks! Basically from what I understand the serial numbering resets when the manufacturing year changes, right? (i.e. once the number 3rd from the left changes to next year the serial goes back to 0001). is that correct? |

What you are looking at is hand engraved and sometimes upside down. Yeah pretty sloppy sometimes. It is what it is. The serial number moves up to 9999 and then the letter to the left (model) changes, so maybe B9999 and then C0001. |
