I'm definitely adding a downhaul for the main sail. Which one makes sense?

You don't need much, but if you like easy adjustments while on the water... the Hobie 16 uses a 6:1 system that would work.

#2089 6:1 Downhaul

OK...thanks. Is the kit 2089 pretty much plug & play on the Getaway?

You would have to attach to a hook for the sail grommet to the top block. That's about it. The rest is the same as the 16.
