Hello Everybody:
I want to start organizing Hobie Getaway regattas where I live (peru), but I wonder what type of course is usually used in cat races. Is it a windward-leeward as it is common on most boats nowadays? Or maybe the ooooold triangle that has broad reaches so you catch more speed instead of trying to go downwind?

Any thoughts on what is common nowadays? Not only in Getaway races, but in other cats?

thanks!!

Guillermo

Most races are windward leeward these days, but I still like the triangle. So much fun doing a screaming reach! From A to B.
