Does any one know what height the jib should be positioned on the forestay? The height of the jib has a dramatic impact on the angle that the jib sheet pulls on the clew, and subsequently really affects the slot. I want to know if there is a position that is preferred given the design of the boat and cut of the sail? For example; How many inches from the center of the grommet on the head of the sail to the shackle attached to the mast fitting? Is there a place to start from? I'd appreciate any input. FC

The clew position also changes due to differing mast rake. There is no "perfect" setting.
