I would like to trailer the boat to my house to remove the tramps and prep it for storage, then trailer it back to storage. Is there any problem with trailering the boat without the tramps? I don't know how important a part they play in the boat's strength. Any info or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

FYI after many years of debating I finally purchased my Getaway this spring and have been sailing it all summer. It's been the best decision I ever made. I absolutely love the boat and it kills me to think about storing it for the winter. Thanks Hobie for making such a wonderful boat!

Dave

The tramps are pretty much the only thing holding the hulls onto the cross bars - the only other attachment is the forward bow spreader bar which has a couple of small bolts holding the bows together. I wouldn't recommend traveling without the tramps on - without them the hulls will be floating on the beams freely.... not recommended.
