Has anyone on this site removed their traveler from the cross beam, if so what is the design of it, rollers, wheels, bearings? I would like to find a way to have the traveler work a little smoother, so that I don't have to get off of the wing and push it to leeward every time I want to let it out. I read on another post that it is normal for the traveler to be on the stiff side, has anyone else found a way to overcome this, short of installing a new system with the track riveted on top of the cross beam?

I would just run into a local dealer to see what it looks like, but to my knowledge we don't have one here in Costa Rica and I really don't want to disassemble the whole boat to find out.

Thanks, Vern
