| Post subject: | Problems with hinges on cooler lids |
I have a 2006 Getaway My hinges on the cooler lids are cracking. If you are not careful on shutting the lids they catch and tend to bust out on the ends. Has anyone else had this problem? I've also had tiller tendon failure but my dealer has taken care of this. I am looking forward to the update. |

I have seen where the hinge ends can get mis-aligned if the cooler lid is fully opened. Don't think it has ever caused the cooler lids to fail. Just the ends as far as I know. |

I have seen the ends pop out on ours as well. Like Matt said, only when you open the lid fully. Probably not a great design, but I just try not to open it fully and it's not a problem. If the shroud lines are tensioned then they prevent the lid from opening too far. |
