Has anyone tried adding ventilation to their cat box? I worry about putting a wet sail in the box, and sometimes when I open it there is a musty smell. I thought about adding a louvered opening in the front and back so air could move through the box and moisture would have a way out. But I'm not sure if this would cause other problems. I also wonder if this would cause problems when trailering at 70 mph. Has anyone had any experience with this? Any opinions?

I have been wondering the same thing.

In the past I bought a big tub of Damprid desiccant and left that in my sail tube. You have to remove it before you drive though or it may spill and get all over your sails.

I heard of someone putting a small dehumidifier in their sailbox and plugging it in when the trailer was at the house.

I take the sail out when the boat is home, and leave the toy box open to dry out. When I launch and recover, I leave both hatches off and the box empty so it won't float the trailer.
