Hello!

I buy a used Getaway and I'm really happy with it.

However, there is no fron tramp on it. So I command one, but I'll also need the front fiberglass rod for it.

Did anyone can give me the size of the rod (lenght and width).

Thanks

i'm doing the same thing... the rod I pulled out of my boat is really weather worn and flakes of fiberglass came off all over my arms making for a very uncomfortable evening (still scratching/itching)... do you have to use a replacement fiberglass rod? Could you use something else to save on cost?

Matt

I found a 10' section of fiberglass rod 3/8" on graingers website for $10... Under $20 total with shipping vs $50 total cost to buy the hobie produced version.... I will cut to size and install and post my results... Should arrive later this week

I finally decide to go to an industrial fiberglass shop neer my home town. Well I finally realise that I know the guy. So it was suppose to cost me 5$ and at the end it close for a big 0$.

The thing to remember... try to find a little business neer you. Sometime the cost will be less then the normal sailing store price :-)
