Hi,

Has anyone found a good solution to getting rid of the chalky/faded look that can appear on the metal crossbars and other painted metal on the Hobie cats? Other than repainting, is there something I could apply?

I've heard many good things about Penetrol on the anodized black aluminum parts and masts.

The Penetrol works great. Wipe it on with a rag, but make sure you don't use so much that it runs. Let it fully dry before touching it. Everything will look like it was freshly painted.

Which penetrol product? The paint conditioner?

Penetrol is fantastic and makes the black anno look almost new again! I think it's the penetrating primer oil one.

It's the oil based paint additive.
