Matt,
Can you tell me what materials are used in the bench and attachments? I see that the benches are pop riveted to the supporting structure, so it appears that they must be hollow (at least at the ends). I'm looking for a spot to secure an eyestrap to hold up to a 300 pound load (the spinnaker turning blocks). The continuous loads aren't much, but when the spin "pops" it can get up to a transient 300 pounds--So far it hasn't jerked out of my hand, so I suspect 300 pounds is about max. To date, I've been tying them to the rear bench post, but I"m looking for a more permanent (and nautical) solution.
