I’ve noticed some cracks in my Hobie getaway comp tip near where it connects to the mast I’m wondering if it’s good to go or if I should replace it? Is it safe?

Pictures would help. Chipping at the base of the CompTip is caused by the CompTip lip pressing against the aluminum extrusion as the mast flexes. The relatively thick outer putty can chip or crack. This is typically cosmetic. The CompTip is supposed to be glued into the extrusion and if it slips down r was not properly glued... this is what happens.

That is really pushing down into the extrusion. Likely not properly glued in before delivery. This needs to be pulled out and inspected. Chip and grind off the loose bits to see if cracking gets into the glass layers.

If all OK, you can refill the lost putty areas and reseat the tip in the extrusion using 2 part epoxy like Automotive Bondo.

If the tip is just loose... you should be able to pull it out or use a come-along on one end and tied to a tree on the other. https://www.amazon.com/Drixet-Ratchet-Puller-System-Come-Along/dp/B074F1VYYJ/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?keywords=Come+Along+Tool&qid=1686695555&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1&smid=A32RLE08M2N1D1
