If I need a replacment main sail for the Wave is $900 bucks right? I was guessing $3-400. Wowser! How long does a sail last if you take care of it? I am looking at wave that needs a sail but if I need to spend an extra $900, I might be better off to keep looking.
Ebay has them forsale for $395... but I've learned from the "you get what you pay for" too many times.

Not sure about the replacement cost. You might check with Sailrite to see if they have a kit you can sew yourself for about that amount. I do know that if you hose your sail down with 303 sunblock spray, it'll keep a lot longer. There is a vast difference between the vibrancy of the colors on a brand new Hobie sail, and one just a few years old.
