while de-rigging my Wave, the mast crashed down and came loose from the step ball, damaging the ball. I bought a new ball, however, I can't get the pin out from the mast base so as to fit the mast over the ball. How can I remove the pin?

Likely the mast rotated 90 degrees while lowering. This would cause the ball to be pryed out of the mast base.

Now... how to get it out. Maybe a hammer and a straight punch.
