We charter catamarans in the BVI, and regularly stop at the Bitter End. What a great place. They have a lot of small boats for the guests to use, and the Waves are the most popular. We rented a couple of Waves there, and screamed off downwind. The other couple forgot how to tack in 18kt. winds by sailing backwards into the tack, and we had to yell instructions to them: "Head to wind. When the boat stops, rudder hard over backwards." They got it, finally; and we screamed back upwind to the base. |
