hey..i am going to be picking up a wave with backrests, jib, spinnaker and trap...any books or videos on use of the traps and spinnaker...i've always sailed on monos so never traped before and would like to know how to work the spinny before hitting the water thanks |

I have a spinny and its a little tricky to jibe its so close to the forestay I think a little longer pole might help. Make sure you lead your sheets forward of the tack atleast that worked for me I don't really use it much but its fun. Mark |

reason i ask is that i found a wave with backrests, traps, spinny, jib (demo boat) for $4500....just wondering if i really need the spinny/trap/jib on this boat...i can get a plain wave for $3000 |

The basic Wave without the spinnaker, seat back rests and trapeze is a great boat. Simple..simple...simple. Really fun to sail in a blow! If you feeel the need for a challenge, you can easily add the stuff. |
