The general conclusion that's acceptable as a owner of a wave rests at SIMPLICITY. Ease of set up and handling as well as maintenance free.
Fast on the wind, easy to control, speedy set up, won't kill you on the price!
I have owned my wave now for a year and I don't want to change or add any thing to it.I want to move to a larger cat with more options and I need to be sure that I can handle it in moderate to high winds.
The wave has provided a few suprises over the year and I'm sure that a 16 will rock my world as the sail area has doubled.
My advise is to enjoy the simplicity of the wave and then when your ready move UP. 8)

true. I am in the market now, I looked at a Getaway and a Wave this weekend (both preowned) The Getaway is very attractive to look at, backrests/wings, double tramps, traps, jib...and as an experienced sailor (on monos) this looks like a boat i can grow with and not get bored, however, my concerns are when i'm solo: getting it across the sand, and righting it by myself....the wave I know I'll have no issues moving and righing....very simple, fast.....that might be the call
