I just received my new 2010Wave!! I am not sure if I fully understand how the EZ Loc rudders work. It seems that there is no mechanism that allows for the rudder to kick up without also forcing the tiller arm up. Is that so or I missing something? I am concerned that if the rudder strikes something, and if my arm is resting on the tiller, there will be extra resistance on the parts.

That is it... yes the tiller arm is up when the rudder is up... it is a simple lever arm system. The rudder can lift your arm on the tiller if the rudder strikes the beach... not a problem at all. You just don't want to lay across the tillers when beaching.
