Thanks! I would love to work with Hobie on a video. I think some of the people at Hobie have seen my videos on this forum, but I may send them an email.

You're very welcome Creative
I did a typo. Hobie Marketing replied by mentioning that they are considering of revamping their video promo material (not their promo system).
However there is a really well done video of the Wave near Frisco that I do have to give them a lot of credit for, (no trained voice overs just two kids having a great day out on the water with a simple piano track adding to their experiences:

Indeed, sometimes less is more

I'm not sure if you noticed, but 1182 people have hit on this link in this forum.
You may want to consider putting a patent on your camera setup.
If nothing else, your work has seriously caught people's attention!

Good on yah M8

Trinomite,
I don't know much about patents and I'm not sure how it would benefit me. The PVC pipe camera setup is cheap & simple to make at home so I'm not sure people would pay for one. What are your thoughts?

Thanks!

Hi Creative
I assume you are American. I'm Canadian, so I don't think I could help you very much. You may want to talk to someone with a legal background to get better informed on patents.

I've watched your other offerings on the web and you are really good at what you do.
A few weeks ago I sent a message to Hobie Marketing asking them to update their promo video material as it seemed years out of date.
The response was that they thanked me for my input and it was mentioned that they are considering revamping their promo system.
I suggest that you send them your work and see where it goes.
Why?
You showed the FUN in your footage.
In the long run, I do believe that is what it is all about.

Good Luck

I agree! I first found your video a couple of weeks ago when I was looking for a wave. Hobie should seriously consider using your material (with a handsome royalty paid to you of course). You kick some bag on that wave! Show us more please. Even some carnage where you push it over the line! :D
