Can anyone tell me what the average weight for a getaway trailer would be? I would like to know if I can tow a getaway behind my '06 Corrolla. Thanx.

Depends on what kind of trailer it is . . .

But most steel catamaran trailers weigh about 250 - 300 lbs. Aluminum trailers weigh about 2/3 of that.

Almost any car can tow a small catamaran (<500 lbs). I've seen an Olympic Tornado (20' long, 10' wide) on a tilt trailer behind a Cooper Mini.

I use to pull my Hobie 16 in 79-81 with a Toyota Tercel. And that motor is about the size of a sewing machine. You should not have a problem.

Just make sure your brakes are in good shape, you don't have too much tounge weight and if it is an automatic tranny you may want to look at putting transmission cooler on it.
