I took my Wave classic out for the first time sailing with a friend and the sailing was great. However, I was surprised by the amount of water that pooled on the tramp. The drain holes became a way for water to get onto rather than off of the tramp. Could this be fixed by tensioning the tramp? How tight should the tramp be?

You can't get it too tight.

I'm confused, a Wave Classic has a mesh tramp that is one piece with drink holders and the water just drains itself.

Sound like you have that new fangled CLUB WAVE with the three piece tramp, so much for improving the Wave huh.

I would consider venting it a bit, but I would think the center seam with the lacing would be adequate for drainage.

Good luck!

The tramp of my 1997 wave does not let water through and water will pool for awhile untill it drins out the stern or through gomets. So the tigghter the better
