Wow some things just belong on a T-shirt.

So I built my trailer so that the mast sits on the bunks below the boat between the hulls, built little braces for it to keep it secure and all that good stuff.

But I was thinking, is the mast going to get dinged and chipped up from road debris hitting it, traveling 70 mph just a foot or so of the ground? Or am I being paranoid.

I though about putting the mast in a PVC pipe, but then its clanging and banging around in there and stands to get beat as well, unless I created some sort of foam bracing to slide over the mast before puttin it in the tube, but now Im straying deep into "pain in the ass" territory..

Ideas?

I think you risk damage and will get more dirt on and in the luff track, so on top of the boat is best. You could get a mast cover though.

We offer a cradle set for strapping the two separate parts on top of the trampoline. We also have mast stands that bolt to the trailer tongue and cradles that hold the mast at the rear crossbar.

Check page 30-31 of the catalog.
