My first attempt at a video, at Lake Poinsett, SD.

Be careful when you reach across to shut off the camera, the boat may follow you.
My buddies wanted to see the "real time" sequence of being underwater while I was righting the boat.
- enjoy, & keep sailing

Great video. Thanks. Obviously a pro -- I note that you re-boarded your Hobie with hat & sunglasses in-place. I can do that now, but the first time I dumped everything went flying...

Here’s another underwater Hobie video (without the dump), taken on my smaller Bravo:

Hoping to have a Wave by season start next year... (If I wasn’t an old, grey-white bearded guy, it’d be a ‘16’...)

Nice video! Good to see comparison of different rigs and boats.

I agree with all that posted: A great video and really great insight into different rigged Waves. Nicely done!
As you know, one of the longest ongoing arguments on this Forum has been the pros and cons of running the standard Jib on the Wave.
PD, I also noticed that your boat and your friend's had a bit of a loose Jib Luff. I understand that if the Jib Halyard was a tight as possible, your spreader bar could be compromised, yet a straight sharp entry into the wind by the Jib Luff would increase your performance. I also believe that if there was a Jib/Main overlap (ie a slightly longer foot on the Jib) that sail would make a huge difference in overall performance (better Venturi effect). I would also love to see a roller furling system that would work on the Jib. That would also be a good reason to add on that extra 'footage' on the standard Jib with a UV protector strip.
Just some thoughts

The best part Paul didn't loose his drink bottle he came up out of the water having the bottle in his mouth. Tri I believe some of luff you were seeing was we both loose up sails waiting for each other Haven't looked at Paul's video yet but the spinnaker was in its third try. It is getting better especially since Matt has me using the right lines in the correct places

Hi Clark
Not a negative in the least. It was just an observation.
It was a very cool video that showed you guys had a blast on the water.
What more can we expect for anything else blasting down the waves? :)
Regards
Tri
