Hey Modaholics
I've sorted through my Hobie Spinnaker hardware kit and it seems to be in order as to where almost all parts should go and their purposes.

However there are two parts that seem to mystify me as to where they should be installed due to lack of supplied instructions:
1) The large white plastic washer.
2) The single rivet with the black mandrel with the 'PH' code ending.

As there is no video footage available for a standard Hobie Spinnaker Hardware Kit install, I will try to answer any questions with photos if needed by anyone in the same position as myself after I'm finished with the install (and my own mods that I can already see before I even start this project).

Please keep in mind that I will also add a traveller kit and a Cheata Motor mount for a Torqeedo 1003 short shaft electric outboard motor on this 2010 Wave CE.

Any help will gain you Karma points, (I hope)
Thanks for any insight friends.
Tri

I installed the white plastic washer behind the "fork" (receives the spin pole) on the forward crossbeam. The plastic washer allows it to swivel without metal rubbing metal.
Hope this helps.

Hi SCWave
That makes sense. Thank you. Do you recall what type of rivet of used for that?

By the process of elimination, considering that the 6 aluminum rivets with their jackets have to be used to mount the Spinnaker Tang on the Comp part of the mast, the only place left to use that rivet is the Pole mount bracket that you mentioned in your last post.
The washer that Hobie expects you to use between the rivet head and the bracket is not supplied. This washer is needed as the hole in the Pole Bracket is oversized for the rivet and was designed to accept the Bolt for boats built before 1997.
In all, I'm not very impressed with this kit, considering the amateur instructions supplied.
I also assume that you replaced the tiny screws for the mounting plate of the cam cleat for the Spinnaker Halyard with rivets (other than the supplied bolt and nut [and its missing lock washer]?).

Thanks for your input SCWave.
