Post subject:  purchasing a hobie wave

I have little sailing experience and am interested in purchasing a Hobie Wave to sail in Long Island sound. Is it difficult to sail/set up? Also, if I have have the boat moored on a beach with a 10foot slope down to the beach is it hard to pull out of water on a set of wheels? Finally, to pick up boat is it easy to disassemble mast to place into a uhaul? Tx.

If the hill is not too steep it should not be a problem. Waves are pretty light weight and one person can move them on wheels with out any problem.

Yes, A Wave can breakdown easily and was made to do so. If you plan to do that often get the standard version Wave not the Club Edition so you don't have to lace the tramp every time.

Waves are fun boats w/o much hassle. You will enjoy it.

Like everyone said; super easy to set up! Super light! Let me know when you want to go out on long island sound if you're on the CT/RI shore. I'll pull down there and spend a couple of day tearing around with ya. Watch Hill, Mystic,Stonington/Groton New London as well as Montauk Point are my old stomping grounds! Thousands of hours I've spent in those areas. You're gonna love that boat! :D
