 Post subject: Broken mast base

Call it rookie mistake, but the mast base where the mast pin is inserted is broken. From what I can see it doesn't look like the base is removable (it looks riveted onto the aluminum lower half of the mast).

What options do I have short of buying a complete new mast?

Drill out the rivets and rivet a new base on.
Use stainless rivets/caps and pick up a big rivet gun from harbor freight to pull them with.
