My husband and I recently purchased a Wave and we are having a hard time getting it in and out of the water ourselves. We are on a great lake but have to get it up on the sand when we store it. We have cat trax but it is still hard for the tow of us to bring up. Any suggestions as to small vehicle that we should look into that would work and and not break the bank?

Are you putting the trax all the way under the boat? If you get the cattrax to the balance point and tie off at the shrouds it should be very easy unless you are going up a steep hill.

If you need to use a winch you may also need to add wheels to the bows: like C-Tugs.

One of the hassles with the usual trailer winches is limited length of caple or strap. The Sky Winch solves that problem nicely.

best of luck

my wife came up with a great idea to go over sand for short distances.
We bought five or six 10 foot PVC pipes, just lay them down in the sand at intervals of about 6-8 feet, and drag the boat over them. There is minimal friction. The most time consuming thing is to go back to pick up the pipe, and lay them down again in front of the boat.

how about 2 inch pcv pipe. have 5 or 6 lined up and run the boat onto the pipe and pull moving the back pipe forward etc. You will be amazed how easy it will be to pull the wave up the beach. Then put it on your little trailer.

What about getting some sort of trailer, utility trailer, flatbed trailer that you could put right in the water. Then the boat would just float off of it after you unstrap it. then pull the trailer out.

These "beach straps" help us muscle our Wave around. They are cable connected with an aluminum ferrule. The coating is insulation for high tensile fencing and just tape to cover the ferrule.

You could also get another Catrax such that you'll have 2 axles. Part of the hassle of moving the Wave around is the balancing act while pushing. Two axles would eliminate that problem. You could use them as separate axles or have it such that are connected together. Probably best not to connect them permanently though via welding but to have them such that can be disassembled such that will fit in your vehicle.
