Is the hooter sail similar to that of a spinnaker in that it's only for downwind?

Or light upwind conditions. It's usually cut pretty flat for speed downwind and ease of furling, so it kinda acts a bit like a gennaker with some crappy sheeting angles upwind in the light stuff.

Thanks Dan. Your Wave is a 1996? How is holding up?

The Hooter adds power to your wave at all points of sail except when hard into the wind. 12 mph winds seem to be the max for controlled sailing.

Hi,
I'm thinking about genaker or hooter in next season.
I'm living in Poland, Europe so i must buy sail here.
Could you help me withhooter dimensions? Do you have any files, documents, etc for sailmaker?
I would be very thankful for any help!
