Add a bow spreader to reduce hull flex.
The bow spreader is handy for getting in and out of the water. Since it floats (has endplay) by design, it really doesn't add much stiffness.
I experimented with shimming it so that there was no end play, thinking the stiffness would help overall performance.
Guess what? Yes it is stiffer, but the boat won't point for s---!
Apparently the flex in the hulls allows you to pull the hulls together enough to add several degrees to your pointing ability.
