Before I buy new, I'm looking around for used wave's, got a line on a 1996 about 4 hours away, advertised with trailer and jib kit (I understand they're not really usefull, and I'll probably remove it/not use it, just another hassle for little benefit) for $3500. I don't know if that's reasonable or not, for a 17 year old plastic boat, and am having a hard time finding many on the market to compare, but in general, are there any specific items to look for on these older Waves? I assume, as long as the Hull is good, the rest can be easily replaced as we go, right? Any words of wisdom/warning on these craft?

Hulls, sails, and tramp are expensive to replace.
I paid 1300$ for my wave...1997 with a good tramp/sails/hulls.

Look and/or feel underneath the hulls, near the stern, where each hull has a small keel. Boats that are pulled up to rocky beaches often have cracks and the plastic separates in this area.
